"Get ahead of" : 原指「超越」
ahead of the curve : 一般解釋是「脫穎而出」, 在此解作「超前處理」或「預先處理」
acting pre-emptively : 先發制人

preemptive : a pre-emptive action is done to prevent something from happening, especially something that will harm you. (先發制人或未雨綢繆的意思)
