'It's a piece of cake.'
    A very common idiom among language learners, but not something you hear very often from native speakers. A much more natural way of saying this is just by using the adjective 'easy':

'It's very easy.'
    A important thing to remember when using adjectives, though, is to decide whether you are using an extreme adjective or a normal one. Extreme adjectives are any adjective with the meaning of 'very + adjective', for example 'freezing' (very cold) or 'excellent' (very good). This is important, because with extreme adjectives we can only use 'really' or 'absolutely' and not other words like 'a little' or 'very'. So, for example 'very excellent' is wrong, you must say 'absolutely excellent'.


    常可在英語學習者之間聽到這句慣用語,但並不會常聽到以英語為母語的人士這樣說。其實白語一點來說, "簡單" 這個形容詞就足夠。
    在使用形容詞時很重要的一點,是選擇極端用法還是普通用法。極端形容詞即為形容詞在意思上的強調,例如在形容詞前加上 very (very + 形容詞),像 'freezing'  (很冷), 或是 'excellent' (優秀)。這很重要,因為如果我們要再加強極端形容詞,我們只能用 'really' 或是 'absolutely' 來修飾,而不是用一般像 'a little' 或是 'very' 。例如 'very excellent' 就是不對的用法,應該要說 'absolutely excellent'。
